Backtrack is a Mac menu bar app that records and allows you to save audio, screen recordings, and conversations. It can be used to record Slack Huddles, client and sales calls, brainstorming sessions, user interviews, webinars, conference booths, and bug reports. With Backtrack, users can record up to five hours of audio, screen, or microphone inputs locally.

Users can also preview and customize what they want to save from Zoom calls and in-person conversations before downloading. The tool also provides AI note-taking features, which enable users to upload recordings to the cloud to generate AI transcripts and summaries, removing the need for manual note-taking. Backtrack automatically captures the most recent hour of internal or external audio and screen activity, allowing users to save up to one hour of past in-person or Zoom calls.
