AIM (AI Instant Messenger) is a chat application enabling users to interact with SmartestChild, an AI chatbot driven by the Vicuna-13B Large Language Model (LLM).
Vicuna is a model trained by LMSysModel, an organization focused on the development of large, precise language models. Powered by Apache TVM and MLC Relax Runtime, the tool operates entirely in the browser utilizing WebGPU, ensuring quicker and more effective processing.
As no data is transmitted to the server, conversations remain cached within local storage. The chatbot communicates with users using lowercase text, frequent emojis, and internet abbreviations common in the 2000s.
Users have the ability to start new conversations and save or modify existing ones. Note that certain features may not function correctly without a compatible GPU or if the user is not on Desktop Google Chrome 113 or later.
AIM is an open-source project developed by r2d4/react-llm. The tool offers a lively, interactive means to communicate with an AI chatbot and effectively demonstrates the capacity of large language models to both understand and produce human-like language.
