Glass serves as an AI assistant tailored for React and Next.js developers. Its main function is to allow direct, AI-driven changes from the browser. This empowers developers to build components, modify settings, and generate Tailwind CSS code without needing to explore the underlying codebase extensively.
Glass enhances the user experience by visually representing the component structure, making it simple for developers to determine the origin components for each element.
An additional feature of Glass is the ability to quickly jump to the source code of any element with a click, offering greater ease and accuracy compared to similar tools.
Because Glass operates only in development environments, it doesn't affect live production. While Glass supports the editing of components and all their descendant components, it doesn't handle package installations.
Glass supports application and page routing as well. It is currently available as an open beta for startups, with continuous improvements to the AI being implemented.
