Users can submit a URL or forward an email to the service; the content is then converted into an audio format. Users can listen to the extracted content on their preferred podcast platforms, which is convenient and accessible, particularly during commutes, exercise, and household tasks.

Readbox places a high value on creators, ensuring that all converted content is properly credited to the original author and that it is only ever distributed privately.

Each user's generated feed remains private and accessible only to that user. The service uses open standards, ensuring compatibility with various existing podcast players, including Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Overcast, and Pocket Casts.

While Spotify integration is not currently available, it is planned for the future. Alternatively, users can listen to feeds directly on the Readbox website.
