ShellMate

ShellMate is an open-source tool designed to boost productivity from the command line, aimed at making terminal use more efficient. It's designed to act as a personal assistant within the terminal, especially for those on macOS.

ShellMate takes input from stdin, command-line arguments, and highlighted text, utilizing OpenAI-driven AI.

A primary function is the ability to answer natural language questions directly in the terminal, so you don't have to memorize precise commands.

ShellMate also features predictive awareness, using your terminal history to anticipate and suggest what you might type next, tailoring the experience to each user.

Text highlighting allows you to focus the tool, eliminating extra steps. The 'sm' shortcut lets you ask questions and insert AI suggestions right into the console you're using, keeping you focused and cutting down on interruptions.

ShellMate is available for direct download, and contributions are welcome on GitHub.
