talat is a meeting transcription application for Mac and Windows that operates entirely on your own computer.
It records audio from your microphone as well as any audio playing on your device (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, and more), transcribing both sides of the conversation in real time and generating a summary at the end. There's no need to invite a meeting bot, create an account, or subscribe to a service.
You can utilize the built-in local summarization tool or integrate your own (local or cloud-based). Transcripts are automatically exported to Markdown (Obsidian, iCloud, a git repo, wherever you keep notes), and you can perform full local searches across all recorded meetings.
