Merra serves as a conversational interviewer for preliminary candidate screening. Setting up an interview is quick and easy: input the job title and details, select up to five key areas (technical abilities, communication skills, problem-solving aptitude, professionalism, cultural alignment), specify the duration (10–15 minutes), and adjust the voice, tone, language, opening statement, and follow-up approach. You can use auto-generated questions or create your own, and establish a passing threshold to highlight promising applicants.
Candidates complete interviews at their convenience, eliminating scheduling conflicts. Reviewers receive an overall fit score from 0–100, along with area-specific evaluations and brief summaries, as well as the complete recording with a searchable transcript, providing clear justification for the assigned score. The system functions independently (with CSV import/export capabilities if needed), retains video for 30 days by default, allows for custom transcript retention based on employer policies, and delivers concise, helpful feedback to each candidate.
