RenameClick

RenameClick is an offline AI tool that renames files based on what's inside them. It's designed for macOS and Windows and helps keep workflows organized by making messy filenames clear and descriptive.

By default, all processing happens on your computer using a built-in AI. Files aren't uploaded, which ensures privacy and control over your data. RenameClick also supports optional cloud providers and local LLM integrations such as LM Studio and Ollama.

The app supports many file formats, including images like JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF, and documents such as PDF, DOC, and DOCX. With batch renaming, you can process many files quickly. RenameClick analyzes each file's content and suggests names for you to review and apply.

RenameClick supports multiple languages for filenames, making it useful for international workflows.

For advanced needs, RenameClick allows you to define custom AI instructions (prompts). This lets you control naming behavior, enforce naming conventions, extract fields like dates or amounts, and adapt filenames to specific workflows.

Even though it runs AI locally, RenameClick keeps a simple interface, so it's easy to use even for complex tasks.
